I used to work at an SEO company and they just didn't want to move on from using one method and I don't think that methods was really being utilised very well. There was not the slightest possibility that anything else could be done.

Whats with all the swearing? Have you been reading too much Cornwall SEO? :P

HEy Andy! Yeah thanks for the tip on Twitter. I am using Fuzzy Semiologic recent posts plugin. It allows you to go as far back in time as you like and to select by category. You can also exclude posts.

I do not have many post yet, so it works fine for me! Once I get many posts I can select recommend category for the posts I want to display, or hack the exclude filed to work as include.

It works as a Widget.

http://www.semiologic.com/software/widgets/fuzzy-widgets/

Anyway just an alternative way for what Andy recommended. Fuzzy SEO Plugin! The SEO part I added! LOL

Great tip Andy, the KISS principle!

@ John - lol, it's good to have those perceived freedoms, but discipline is key! Sudoko for dummies might be upgraded to the type that asks 'what number is larger than y but smaller than x" answer = the one in the middle :D

I just told Igor via Twitter but will add it here.

The best way to display favorite posts, more popular posts etc is very simple.

Just use a blogroll, or a manual text block

Ultimately any of the popularity plugins don't allow you to advertise your best posts, or the money makers, just the ones that happened to get lots of junk comments, or get Stumbled.

They also add a lot of needless database load.

" is there Favorite Posts plugin? " Try CTR C...CTR V!

It's not like you have to actually write an e-mail and stuff.

Sheesh, you'll need a plug to wipe your nose next! ( nearly said the a word then but I stopped myself. Having not worked for TheMan for nearly 10 years I really have top try hard to maintain standards in my ofiice... washing, dressing, cursing - keeping feet of the furniture etc etc)

Anyway, have been "working" hard for oooooh..10 minutes so I think I deserve another wander around the garden, stroke the dog, kick the cat and strum my guitar before I settle down again.

Work with any arseholes? Only the one I am sitting on right now!

PS I am getting better at you Suduko for Idiots below, when do we get a 3 number toughie?
