Hi, welcome to my blog, please consider subscribing
I’m kinda wondering what Bebo stands for. Bonk early Bonk Often perhaps?

But hey, at least it’s natural and organic! ![]()

Looks like the spammer is using the site as a para-site. I thought the trend was to do the para-siting on .edu and .gov, but apparently this spammer was lucky. Shows that social networks really carry some juice.

Bebo is an authority site, it’s funny how google can be fooled so easily!

I wouldn’t expect that ranking to last so long. Google’s going to take the ranking as Bebo trying to take advantage of the system and will thus plunge it.

Social networking sites area really being hit with this of late. Check out Google for: buy phentermine, half of them on there are parasites.

social sites are so big, so huge… and administrators of those, dont have really time to control all spam on 100%

Could this be the ever so popular piggy backing approach?

Hey Rob, how come you were searching for ‘you know what’ anyway?
Only kidding!
Social posting of spam is the bread and butter product for most IM marketers right now, expect to see it for short period everywhere, most examples they post to sell their ideas only last about as long as thier time limited offer sales letters. Kinda made for each other really, by the time folks have bought the product on the back of a few front pages results those same results will have faded away.
Hey ho, same old same old.

haha! Um…nah, I won’t say that I have a very very demanding gf!
I don’t knock the marketer, merely the algo that puts it there. It’s nuts that a one trick pony page like the one refernced can knock pages of better quality/relevancy down the page like that. An interesting insight in the whole ‘trust’ thing.

Yup, social networking sites area getting more and more infected these days.

Well, I guess spamming is really out of control.
But then at least, it promotes a herbal viagra.

It’s clever marketing if you ask me.Many of the sites that sell these products run affiliate schemes and people see and use such things to earn their commissions.Everyone wants the natural rankings but they are pretty elusive.

Clearly the Herbal Viagra salesmen haven’t thought of adding a Wikipedia page on the matter. If Bebo equals authority in Google’s eyes, then I’ll cry a little inside.

Does it work? Because I smoked it but nothing happened.

How is it beneficial for someone to promote Bebo as Herbal Viagra on Social media?
Christopher, Will you tell me something about Para-Siting?
July 19th, 2008 at 7:47 am
Frederik parasiting is the process of feeding off of the authority of another site.
The BEBO example works by allowing the parasite to feed off of the BEBO site.

It is almost impossible to find some place which would be spam free. I always find myself helpless but furious about that parasite spammers.

There will always be spammers. We host email servers and wow we spend hours daily updating our servers to combat this. Blogs also need to deal with it and so do website owners. I guess in every business there are going to be people who are looking for the quick way to make money. Interesting concept above, not for me though.

Ida know, Rob. Where do you find these quirks? And how come I never think to blog about the crazy things I find while searching?
September 15th, 2008 at 8:55 am
@david the serps offer numerous clues for us all! I dont write about them all (i’d be here all day)It’s just good to kick it around a little and see where it goes.
@bengt seo some Aff marketers will exploit every hole they can find. 10 minutes spent to ear 10k can be pretty hard to resist
