I just wanted to write and congratulate BlogCatalog... (i read this posting and as BlogCatalog's email is not working thought it appropriate to sing their praises here...) As a relatively new member I am really impressed not only by the ease of using BlogCatalog but also by the great interaction between members. I have been on other catalog sites and there is not as much 'interaction' not as much 'active participation.' I wish we could get more on the discussions going and share more ideas but that only comes with members going that next step.

Your catalog has helped create awareness for Alex our new son. It has brought people to understand that adoption is not just something with babies but that yes people adopt 'diamonds in the rough' - real kids and yes even teenagers. I will sign up for the top 5 as soon as my expenses for Alex and getting him here are done - hopefully in the not to distant future as I believe your catalog does a great job.

Again many thanks. http://www.blogcatalog.com/user/SJRod55

The conversations are one of the best things about blogging.

I know there will come a day when I won't be able to reply to every comment on my blog. That'll be both a good day and a dark one.

@Robyn, I think you are doing great these days. I love what you write.I agree to; its not entirely easy to just throw yourself out there and open oneself to a form of critical analysis! Some people can be very critical indeed, thankfully most bloggers are kinda nice and have similar aspirations and understandings of the whole writing thing.

@ Maria - its sure worth a shot Maria - do let me know how you get on with it if you use it.

Hi Rob, for me conversations with others are highly critical. When I first started I was concerned more about my writing and ways I was expressing ideas to others out there in the blogosphere. Now that I've begun to have more conversations, I'm much more relaxed. Though I have Blogger, I use Haloscan so I can highlight comments at the right of my posts. You're great with the metrics and clicks so you've got knowledge that takes a little more time for me to apprehend. But, I'm getting there!
